Mike Devine is the Senior Pastor and an elder of Covenant Bible Church. He received a B.A. in English from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte (1994) and attended Youth Ministry School at Portland Bible College in Portland, Oregon (1992).

Mike began working with the youth group at Covenant in 1990 and subsequently joined the Covenant staff as Youth Pastor in 1992. During his tenure as Youth Pastor, Mike co-led "Exit from Apathy," a community-based youth revival that included fifteen local churches and over 400 teenagers. Mike served faithfully as Covenant Bible Church's Youth Pastor from 1992-2004, until God impressed upon his heart that his season in youth ministry had ended. Mike resigned as Youth Pastor in January of 2004 and accepted a position at Lincolnton Middle School as an 8th grade English teacher and head football coach.

Shortly thereafter, Mike realized that God had ordained a season of waiting to allow him to see the real world and hurting people from a different perspective. Just two years later on February 5, 2006, Mike accepted the call to be Senior Pastor of Covenant Bible Church.
